Accenture expands its Google Cloud partnership to accelerate enterprise AI, cloud and mainframe modernisation with scalable, industry-specific solutions

In an attempt to empower organisations to utilise the latest AI and cloud technologies, Accenture and Google Cloud have widened their strategic partnership.

The two companies will deliver scalable, industry-specific solutions that enhance operational efficiency, innovation and business growth.

This announcement comes after Google and Accenture’s work in Saudi Arabia to enhance the adoption of Gen AI capabilities and cloud solutions.

Accenture also released packaged accelerators that strive to ensure clients can leverage the combination of Salesforce’s Agentforce and Google Cloud’s Gemini models.

By expanding their partnership, Accenture and Google Cloud demonstrate their combined commitment to AI leadership and innovation, deep industry knowledge and focus on enhancing digital transformation.

Andy Tay, Global Lead of Accenture Cloud First, explains: “Accenture is continuing to strengthen its strategic partnership with Google Cloud, investing in new capabilities to help our clients accelerate reinvention and spur innovation.

“Powered by Accenture’s deep industry and functional expertise alongside Google’s advanced technology, we are helping clients build an agile cloud-based digital core, integrating advanced data and AI technologies.”

How is technology enhancing this expansion?

Technology remains at the core of this partnership expansion, allowing Google Cloud and Accenture to deliver smarter, faster and more scalable enterprise solutions.

Google Cloud named Accenture as its 2025 Global Services Partner of the Year for the third consecutive year and its 2025 Artificial Intelligence - Global Innovation & Solutions Partner of the Year.

By expanding its partnership with Google Cloud, Accenture remains committed to enhancing operations and infrastructure by focusing on:

Agentic AI solutions

The joint Accenture Google Gen AI Center of Excellence will allow organisations to enhance agentic AI capabilities. This combines Gemini and Google Agentspace’s advanced reasoning models to enhance operational efficiency, scalability and innovation.

Google Cloud’s Agent2Agent (A2A) interoperability protocol is also supported by Accenture’s AI Refinery platform. This will ensure customers and organisations can utilise agents that are interoperable with applications to drive value.

Customer experience modernisation

Accenture is utilising its GenWizard platform and Google Customer Engagement suite to launch new capabilities. These will:

  • Simplify the migration of legacy contact systems to Contact-Center-as-a-Service
  • Craft and deploy gen AI-based testing frameworks
  • Enable the creation of AI agents based on call transcripts
  • Offer omni-channel analytics capabilities

Organisations that utilise these capabilities can cut time to handle interactions, enhance customer satisfaction and offer more intelligent and personalised customer experiences across channels.

Wide area network (WAN) services

Google Cloud’s new Cloud WAN service will be combined by Accenture into its Cloud Network Operator.

By doing so, customers and organisations can connect users to both private and public applications.

Accenture will offer a single pane of glass for handling global network infrastructure, automated workflows and zero-touch provisioning.

Accenture’s cloud-native solutions will mean organisations can improve compliance, governance and security.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) industry solutions

Accenture will support organisations to unlock value from their GDC investments through its latest industry solutions.

Accenture’s packaged solution for utilities will enhance the real-time processing, collection and AI-led analysis of data to reduce remote location downtime and improve predictive maintenance.

Its solutions will also cover the public sector and manufacturing.

GDC will allow organisations to handle sovereignty, latency, regulatory and data residency requirements through its ability to manage and deploy workloads across on-premise and edge data centres.

Accenture has also showcased its commitment to enhancing mainframe modernisation by integrating Gemini-led tools into its GenWizard platform.

This means organisations can reduce maintenance costs, improve the assessment and analysis of mainframe inventories, improve security and unlock more resources to focus on further growth.

What impact will this partnership have on the technology industry?

The expanded Accenture-Google Cloud partnership will help accelerate enterprise AI adoption.

Agentic AI, powered by Gemini, will make advanced use cases more scalable and accessible. This will set a new industry benchmark for how reasoning-based and generative AI can be utilised in business.

The partnership will lower barriers to cloud adoption and improve speed in cloud modernisation by offering industry-specific, pre-packaged solutions.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Organisation at Google Cloud, says: "We're proud to name Accenture as our partner of the year for both Global Services and Artificial Intelligence Global Innovation and Solutions.

"Accenture's expertise has been instrumental in helping clients quickly move AI projects from proofs-of-concept to global production, underscoring its commitment to innovation and customer success."

Not only will AI agents trained on behavioural data offer more intelligent interaction to enhance customer experience, but employees can benefit from automation that removes repetitive tasks, allowing focus to be shifted to more strategic work.

Google Cloud and Accenture’s growing partnership highlights the value of tech-service integration and merging consulting and implementation expertise with hyperscaler capabilities.

Google Cloud provides the tools and infrastructure and Accenture ensures these tools can be turned into business value through deployment, customisation and change management.

The expanded partnership will alter how organisations scale, access and implement emerging technologies, encouraging the technology industry to address concerns around regulatory compliance and offer more industry-ready, AI-enabled solutions.
