BeyondMinds CTO and co-founder, Dr Roey Mechrez has extensive experience in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry. Prior to co-founding Beyond Minds, a company that delivers hyper-customised, production-grade AI, Mechrez gained his PhD at Technion-Israel.

With a keen interest in AI, Mechrez has held multiple positions to gain more experience and understanding of AI-powered technology. He has been both an Algorithm Engineer for RSIP Vision and a Research Intern for IBM.

During his internship with IBM, he worked in the Computer Vision and Augmented Reality group.

The CTO’s deliver hyper-customized, production-grade AI. Mechrez himself explains that his research interests are in computer vision, machine learning, optimisation, image processing, and computational photography. Many of his research papers explore photorealistic image generation and manipulation at the low-mid level. This explores things such as perceptual super-resolution and in the high semantic level such as semantic style transfer.
