Jensen’s career journey
Born in Taiwan and raised in the US, Jensen earned a degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University and a master’s from Stanford University.
Early in his career, Jensen worked at LSI Logic and AMD, shaping his understanding of the semiconductor industry. Jensen went on to co-founded NVIDIA in 1993 with a bold vision – to solve the world's most complex computing challenges.

Under his guidance, Nvidia developed the graphics processing unit in 1999 and later expanded into data centres and automotive chips. The firm reached a US$3tn market value in 2024, reflecting its central role in generative AI infrastructure.
