Apple

Having dedicated the last 48 years to innovating and reimagining what is possible in technology, Apple specialises in consumer electronics, software and services.

Apple

Influenced by the first commercially successful microcomputer – the Altair 8800 – Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs worked on developing their own microcomputer, launching the Apple I in 1976. A year later, the Apple II was launched, becoming the first microcomputer that appealed to the average person and began the computer of choice for amateur programmers.

Today, Apple is expanding into spatial computing and Gen AI and in 2018 became the first to reach a value of US$1tn.

To make tools that allow other people to change the world in their own way and for us to have a role in that makes my heart sing. We’ve always believed our tools should be as easy to use as our products, so we try to make the developer tools simple. It’s the developer’s idea that’s the big lift, not the act of doing it themselves. It’s great to see the validation of that playing out.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple
