The strategic impact

The partnership will see TCS streamline Air New Zealand's digital services across more than 600 applications by integrating AI-driven automation and cloud technologies.

This transformation is expected to impact over 15 million passengers who fly with Air New Zealand annually on more than 3,400 weekly flights.

Key areas of focus include cargo service enhancements, disruption management, retail offerings, maintenance systems and crew operations.

TCS will leverage its aviation-specific solutions, including TCS Aviana™, a unified platform for intelligent airline operations.

Air New Zealand's focus on sustainability

The collaboration aligns with Air New Zealand's Sustainability Framework, which guides the airline's efforts in addressing complex environmental challenges.

TCS has previously developed the Asia Pacific Digital Sustainability Index in 2022, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable digital transformation in the region.

This partnership could potentially advance Air New Zealand's sustainability initiatives through more efficient operations and reduced resource consumption.

The modernisation of systems is expected to contribute to more fuel-efficient route planning and reduced operational waste.
