Google Cloud Agentspace to Connect Enterprise Data with AI
Google has announced Agentspace, an enterprise platform that combines its Gemini AI technology with enterprise search capabilities to help companies access and utilise their internal data. The platform arrives as organisations grapple with data fragmentation, with workers using between four and six different tools to find answers to questions, according to Google’s research.
“For enterprises, brilliance isn't just about individual genius – it’s about the collective intelligence within an organisation. But this brilliance is often hidden in silos, inaccessible to those who need it most, when they need it most,” says Saurabh Tiwary, Vice President and General Manager of Google Cloud AI.
Google Agentspace brings NotebookLM to enterprise customers
The platform incorporates NotebookLM, a tool for analysing complex information, which Google is extending to enterprise customers with additional security features. NotebookLM enables employees to upload and synthesise information, generating insights and creating audio summaries of content. The enterprise version includes role-based access controls and encryption key management.
“We built NotebookLM to help users make sense of complex information, and now we're bringing this capability to enterprises,” Saurabh says.
Enterprise search capabilities expand beyond traditional tools
The platform includes a multimodal search agent that can process both unstructured data, such as documents and emails, and structured data in tables. The system incorporates translation capabilities and connects with third-party applications including Confluence, Google Drive, Jira, Microsoft SharePoint and ServiceNow.
“Google Agentspace makes your employees highly productive with a single prompt – it helps them accomplish complex tasks that require planning, research, content generation, and actions,” says Saurabh.
The platform enables companies to create custom AI agents for specific business functions, including marketing, finance, legal and engineering tasks. These agents can automate workflows and perform research tasks. Google also says it plans to release a low-code visual tool for employees to build their own agents.
Alan Triggs, Chief Digital Officer at Nokia, the telecommunications equipment manufacturer, says: “We’re particularly excited by Google Agentspace’s ability to blend various data sources and deliver personalised, contextually relevant answers.”
Enterprise adoption gains momentum across sectors
Fabio Jabur, Head of Data and AI at Banco BV, a Brazilian financial services company, says: “Google Agentspace is helping us realize the vision of enabling our employees to leverage some of the most advanced generative AI technologies for search, assistance and actions across all our critical systems in a secure and compliant way.”
For enterprises, brilliance isn't just about individual genius – it's about the collective intelligence within an organisation.
Security features include Google Cloud’s infrastructure with granular IT controls, virtual private cloud service controls, identity and access management integration, and customer-managed encryption keys.
Ramnish Singh, SVP Solutions Engineering at Onix, a cloud technology consultancy, says: “These last few months Onix has been partnering with Google to onboard early customers, and we are excited to see our clients take their first steps on this transformative journey.”
The platform provides business analysts with tools for industry research and presentation creation. Human resources teams can use it for employee onboarding processes, while software engineers can employ it for bug identification and resolution. Marketing teams can access performance analysis and campaign optimisation features.

Dennis Seah, Chief Digital & Technology Officer at FairPrice, Singapore's largest food retailer, says: “We are building an organisation-wide research and assistance platform with Google Agentspace, with the aim of reducing manual effort. Google Agentspace will equip our employees with both a seamless research assistant that searches across all our documents, internal systems and even third-party applications.”
Youssef Bakkali, Group Product Manager at Decathlon, the sporting goods retailer, says: “Google Agentspace’s ability to connect teams with the right information from across organisations and provide self-service assistance is incredibly promising. Google Agentspace could become an essential enabler for product designers, marketers, and researchers, enabling them to make faster, more informed decisions.”
