Gym+Coffee strengthening operations and improving CX

Gym+Coffee selected NetSuite to help improve visibility across the business and increase operational efficiency
NetSuite helps athleisure brand centralise and automate operations with an integrated business system

Gym+Coffee, Ireland's largest athleisure brand, has strengthened its omnichannel business operations by implementing Oracle NetSuite to support its rapid growth.

Excellent Zephyr, a system implementation and integration service provider for retailers and a NetSuite Solution Provider partner, led the implementation in collaboration with Patchworks, an iPaaS platform provider.

Gym+Coffee was founded in 2017 by three friends on a mission to create high-quality athletic clothing. The brand, which is backed by shareholders including One Direction star Niall Horan and rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll, has increased sales 15-fold over the last five years and now operates 10 retail stores in Ireland and the UK and a growing online presence.

To pursue further growth across Europe, Gym+Coffee secured an additional €17 million in funding in 2022. With the funding secured and ambitious growth objectives, the Gym+Coffee team selected NetSuite, with implementation support from Excellent Zephyr and Patchworks, to help improve visibility across their business and increase operational efficiency.

“We’re extremely proud of the success the brand has achieved, most notably in the last 12 months,” said Wesley Scourfield, commercial director at Gym+Coffee. “With additional funding, it is time for us to take the brand to the next level.

"With NetSuite, we can accelerate business processes and gain the insights needed to understand how our loyal customers like to shop, in addition to how shopping behaviours are constantly changing in the current economic climate. NetSuite is at the heart of our growth strategy and the technical knowledge and implementation capabilities from the Excellent Zephyr team have been invaluable to the success of our project.”

Oracle Netsuite to help Gym+Coffee to the next level

With NetSuite, Gym+Coffee has been able to centralise its operational and financial processes. This has helped Gym+Coffee streamline data management, save time and resources, and better serve its customers. During the implementation, Excellent Zephyr enlisted the help of ecommerce integration provider, Patchworks, to connect Gym+Coffee’s internal systems with NetSuite and build reliable integration points between ecommerce sites, point-of-sale (POS), and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. This integration helped create omnichannel efficiencies and elevate customer experience.

“Working as one team with Excellent Zephyr and Gym+Coffee, we’ve designed, built, and tested reliable integration points to create a robust and future-proof ecommerce stack that can handle dynamic retail peaks,” said Jim Herbert, CEO, Patchworks. “Patchworks believes shared vision is critical to delivering the technology for a successful implementation, and we look forward to watching Gym+Coffee’s continued success.”

“Gym+Coffee has seen impressive growth in recent years across a number of touchpoints,” said Ian Moore, founder and head of services at Excellent Zephyr. “We’ve loved working with the Gym+Coffee team at such an exciting part of their journey. By understanding their long and short-term goals and aligning that knowledge with our deep understanding of retail industry challenges, we’ve enabled Gym+Coffee to integrate a seamless end-to-end solution. With NetSuite at the centre of its operations, Gym+Coffee now has a 360-degree view of its business that will be instrumental as it continues to grow and scale operations. It’s been a pleasure working with Gym+Coffee to ensure it has the right tools to not only survive but thrive in the current economic climate.”
