This kind of technology has been an integral part of commercial sectors for years. According to Zebra's own research, 91% of warehouse managers see task management as imperative to workplace efficiency, while 88% place value on ergonomic mobile devices to assist them in managing work loads.
Zebra's researchers have also found that 87% of retail workers feel more valued when equipped with modern technology and prefer store-issued devices for use in their day-to-day work.
This sentiment is particularly apparent in the healthcare sector, where mobile computers rank among the top transformative technologies.
Zebra's EM45 is designed to thrive in these sorts of environments with an AI-capable Qualcomm processor, a 25-hour battery life, its dual work and personal profiles and its push-to-talk collaboration capabilities.

Retail
The EM45 can scan products, take payments and manage stock levels with ease, improving inventory visibility and reducing shrinkage.
Logistics
High-resolution imaging can support proof of delivery and barcode scanning, enabling more accurate and timely deliveries.
Healthcare
Clinicians can use the EM45 to track medical assets and patient locations, improving care coordination and reducing delays.
Manufacturing
The device has rugged durability and AI capabilities, supporting real-time tracking, quality control and task management in complex production environments.
An added advantage is the EM45's built-in RFID reader, which reduces the need for multiple devices and streamlines workflow efficiency.

Zebra's sustainable design
Sustainability is also a core part of Zebra's new offering, with the firm's award-winning Circular Economy Programme overseeing the lifecycle of its products.
The crux of the programme is the reduction of e-waste, which Zebra addresses through initiatives such as:
- Device Buy-Back: Customers return end-of-life Zebra devices for refurbishment, resale, or environmentally responsible recycling.
- Certified Refurbished Devices: Extending device life by offering customers cost-effective and sustainable options.
- Recycling Services: Ensuring devices dismantled beyond repair are recycled in compliance with environmental regulations.
To date, these initiatives have diverted over 600 metric tonnes of end-of-life products from landfills.
