Mike Blandina has moved from JP Morgan Chase to become CIO at Snowflake.
Mike is taking over from Sunny Bedi, Snowflakeās outgoing CIO of five years, as he goes āto pursue new opportunitiesā.
Mike said: āIt is with a mix of pride and humility that I am announcing my upcoming departure from JP Morgan.
āAfter reflection and consideration, I have decided to embark on a new chapter in my journey.
āIt's been an incredible five years of hard work, fun and achievement that I will always remember. I will always remain a shareholder, customer, friend and cheerleader of the company.ā
Mike was previously CEO at Bakkt, VP Engineering at PayPal and Engineering Director, Payments at Google through the launch of Google Wallet in 2011.
Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated a strong ability to lead large-scale technology transformations and drive innovation in both established corporations and startups.
He has also founded and developed two payments and commerce startups, both of which were acquired as they reached maturity.
At Snowflake, his deep expertise in payments, cloud technology, and operational excellence positions him to help the company scale its Data Cloud platform and accelerate its impact in the evolving landscape of data and AI.
He is a veteran who served four years in the United States Army.
