Job To: Group Head, Technology and Operations at Standard Chartered

Noelle Eder has been appointed as Group Head of Technology and Operations at Standard Chartered, as of 26 May.

Reporting directly to Group Chief Executive Bill Winters, Noelle will be based in Singapore as part of the bank’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team in Asia as well as globally.

Noelle joins Standard Chartered from The Cigna Group, where she served as EVP and Global CIO. In that role, she led digital, technology, data, analytics and operations strategy at the health insurer, driving innovation and healthcare transformation.

Before this, she held senior leadership roles at Hilton Worldwide Holdings and Capital One, reinforcing her strong background in technology, operations and customer experience.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Standard Chartered, as the bank accelerates its “Fit for Growth” programme — a three-year initiative to streamline, standardise and digitise its operations.

Noelle’s expertise is expected to be instrumental in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance client service, simplify processes, and foster high-performing teams.

Bill says: “Noelle joins us as we intensify efforts to streamline and simplify our systems and processes through our Fit for Growth programme while harnessing emerging technologies to further improve our service to our clients.

“Her knowledge and perspective built over a career in technology, operations and customer experience will be instrumental in driving innovation and advancing our technology capabilities.”

Noelle adds: “I am thrilled to join Standard Chartered, a truly global and diverse organisation, and to embrace the exciting challenge of advancing its digital transformation and simplification efforts to better serve and empower clients worldwide.

“I look forward to contributing my expertise and fostering high-performing teams to accelerate our progress and sustain the bank’s growth momentum.”
