Rapid X: Empowering Success via Digital Transformation
With a steadfast commitment to rapid time-to-value, Rapid X powers digital innovation to provide client satisfaction whilst helping them transform strategy

Rapid X is an independent specialist provider of digital transformation consulting services. Boasting a strong team of strategic technology consultants and digital transformation agents, the company partners with clients to design, plan and execute SAP programmes, leveraging its expertise in SAP tools and methodologies for application lifecycle management.

“We're vendor-agnostic,” says Neil Start, Co-Founder and CEO of Rapid X. “It just so happens that a lot of our customers tend to use SAP alongside all their third-party products.”

Recognising the need for client-side strategic advice and quality assurance services, Rapid X engages at a deeper level to help customers avoid blind spots and gaps in their experience and strategies. “Transformation is about people inherently and not just about technology,” Neil emphasises.

Rapid X: Providing strategic client advice

Rapid X has been working with life sciences and consumer care company, Croda, for several years to help it achieve its targets, whilst mitigating challenges. It has supported services such as partner selection, structuring evaluation criteria and engaging the market.

As a result, Rapid X has developed a clear understanding of Croda’s business operations and culture to help the company with its digital transformation strategies.

“Our strategic advisory service complemented something Croda identified as critical,” Neil explains. “But it had a dual purpose – selecting the best partner aligned with Croda's culture to work hand-in-hand with internal stakeholders, setting up for the best chance of success from the outset.

“We've structured this whole process to achieve those aims. Pick the right partner, empower the Croda team, make sure that Croda's culture is preserved and embedded throughout the upcoming programme, and set up for success.”

Empowering enterprise digital transformation

With Croda, Rapid X is prioritising programmes that focus on transparency and traceability by having a centralised integrated platform. The goal is to empower everyone involved in the programme to stay aligned and make better decisions.

“It’s important for the customer to have that visibility and control and own that part of the journey themselves, and help keep everyone on the same page and fully accountable,” Neil adds. “Vendors are historically used to having more control and less focus on outputs. As we move forward in a more agile, outcome-oriented way, we want to make sure that the spotlight is shone on that at the earliest possible opportunity.”

Moving forward, Rapid X will continue supporting Croda’s unique and evolving needs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring the suitability of Croda’s design and delivery and assisting in finding necessary skills within the organisation.

“This is a multi-year, long-term transformation so we intend to be there in the long-term, making sure everyone stays accountable to the delivery of what matters.”

Rapid X will also leverage its digital academy to fast-track additional project resources through initial onboarding, providing a critical grounding in skills and approaches for successful transformation programmes.

“It's not just giving people industry-specific skills,” Neil adds. “It's really about honing them to become successful contributing members of this programme.”
