Logpoint, a European provider of cybersecurity solutions, has appointed Søren Grubov as Senior Vice President of Engineering. The move comes as the company seeks to enhance its technology portfolio and expand its presence in the European market.

Grubov brings more than two decades of experience in engineering and leadership to Logpoint. He joins the company from Omada, where he served as VP of Engineering for two years. Omada specialises in identity governance and administration solutions. Prior to this, Grubov held leadership positions at SimCorp for seven years and spent 13 years in various engineering roles at Microsoft.

In his new role at Logpoint, Grubov will be responsible for overseeing product delivery based on high-quality technology. He states: "I look forward to working with the engineering teams and the product organisation to build the best possible solutions to enable our customers and partners to overcome cyber threats and reduce risk."

Logpoint offers a Cyber Defense Platform that incorporates Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) with behaviour analytics, automation, and case management technologies. SIEM is a system that collects and analyses security data from various sources to detect and respond to potential threats. The company's solutions are designed to assist mid-market organisations and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) in combating cyber threats while adhering to European data and cybersecurity regulations.

Mikkel Drucker, CEO of Logpoint, says: "Søren has a track record of fostering a collaborative engineering approach aligned with business objectives and solving customer challenges through innovative and quality technology."

Logpoint emphasises its European heritage, noting that its solutions are developed in accordance with European regulations and data protection standards. The company claims to be the only European SIEM vendor with a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification, a standard that evaluates the security features of IT products
