Technology Magazine Highlights the Latest Executive Appointments and Departures that are Set to Drive Innovation and Business Success

1. Dr Philipp Herzig

Job From: SVP Head of Cross Product Engineering, SAP

Job To: Chief AI Officer, SA

Dr Philipp Herzig

 “SAP’s increased focus on business AI marks the start of a completely new generation of enterprise innovation.”

SAP has created a new end-to-end growth area focused on AI under the leadership of Dr Philipp Herzig in the newly created role of chief artificial intelligence officer (CAIO).

The new unit oversees the entire value chain for SAP Business AI, from product development and research through to customer implementation. In this new role, effective January 2024, Herzig reports directly to CEO Christian Klein.

Herzig’s team will collaborate with innovators across SAP to infuse artificial intelligence into every part of the company’s portfolio. With this new setup, SAP aims to further accelerate the pace at which customers can benefit from groundbreaking business AI solutions and services. The newly established division also underscores the central importance of business AI as a strategic driver for SAP’s ongoing growth.

Herzig’s team consists of strong leaders, including Walter Sun, who continues to lead all product engineering efforts on business AI, as the global head of AI. Sun moved from Microsoft to SAP in September 2023

2. Tom Cozzolino

Tom Cozzolino

Digital transformation company GFT has named former Salesforce executive Tom Cozzolino as its US Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Cozzolino will work with GFT’s US executives to continue scaling growth with a focus on innovating and expanding the company’s digital and cloud-based offerings.

3. Ray Kok

Job From: SVP, Siemens Digital Industries Software 

Job To: CEO, Mendi

Ray Kok

Mendix, a Siemens business, has appointed Ray Kok as its new CEO. Ray joins Mendix from Siemens Digital Industries Software, where he was a Senior Vice President for the platform development of Siemens Xcelerator.

4. Brian Goldfarb

Job From: Chief Marketing Officer, Tenable

Job To: Chief Marketing Officer, Solarwinds

Brian Goldfarb

SolarWinds has announced the appointment of Brian Goldfarb as its new Chief Marketing Officer. With more than 20 years of experience driving growth at top-tier tech firms, Goldfarb joins SolarWinds as a key member of its executive team at a time of ongoing growth and transformation. His appointment represents the company’s commitment its next phase of growth. 

5. Richard C Puccio, Jr

Job From: Chief Financial Officer, AWS

Job To: EVP, Chief Financial Officer, Analog Device

Richard C Puccio, Jr

Analog Devices has appointed Richard C Puccio, Jr as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Puccio will set ADI’s financial strategy and lead the company’s global finance operations. He joins ADI from Amazon Web Services, where he partnered closely with the business to manage more than 200 fully featured services.

6. Pradeep Kumar

Job To: SVP of Services and Customer Success, UiPath

Pradeep Kumar

Pradeep Kumar has been appointed SVP of Services and Customer Success at UiPath. Kumar brings over 25 years of financial and business experience across channel, consumer and enterprise technology that will be pivotal in enhancing the experience for users of UiPath’s Business Automation Platform. He joins UiPath following 13 years with HP.
