MRaaS modernises legacy meeting rooms and enables users to join meetings from any meeting solution provider using Webex
HCLTech has announced the launch of its Meeting-Rooms-as-a-Service, in collaboration with Cisco, to transform how organisations implement hybrid work

Since the pandemic forced the introduction of fully remote working for countless businesses around the world, the landscape has changed.

Despite a report by Okta claiming that over half of business leaders believe employees are more productive while working remotely, earlier this year a number of announcements emerged from tech giants including Amazon, Alphabet and Meta saying they would be rolling back on hybrid working policies.

Today, organisations are looking for solutions to elevate the collaboration experience at work and drive productivity.

With that in mind, leading technology company HCLTech has announced the launch of Meeting-Rooms-as-a-Service (MRaaS), in collaboration with Cisco, which modernises legacy meeting rooms and enables users to join meetings from any meeting solution provider using Webex devices.

Modernising meeting rooms for a hybrid working world

The MRaaS solution – which is based on a subscription model – helps enterprises simplify the design, implementation and maintenance of integrated meeting rooms, enabling seamless collaboration for their globally distributed hybrid workforces.

“MRaaS combines our consulting and managed services expertise with Cisco's proficiency in Webex devices to change the way employees conceptualise, organise and interact in a collaborative environment for a modern hybrid work model,” said Rakshit Ghura, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Digital Workplace Services at HCLTech. “The common vision of our partnership is to elevate the collaboration experience at work and drive productivity through modern meeting rooms.”

Cisco's Webex collaboration devices harness the power of AI to offer intuitive, seamless collaboration experiences, enabling meeting rooms with smart features such as meeting zones, intelligent people framing, optimised attendee audio and background noise removal, among others.

“Our partnership with HCLTech helps our clients transform their offices through cost-effective managed services that support the ongoing evolution of workspaces,” said Alexandra Zagury, Vice President of Partner Managed and as-a-Service Sales at Cisco. “As we reimagine the modern office, we are making it easier to support collaboration and productivity among workers, whether they are in the office or elsewhere.”
