Amazon Web Services (ASWS) says it has acquired TSO Logic, a Vancouver-based startup that helps companies manage their cloud resources effectively.

The deal comes just a week after AWS purchased Israeli disaster recovery startup CloudEndure.

TSO Logic analyses the performance, utilisation and total cost of ownership (TCO) of customer’s current environments and cloud alternatives.

This allows customers to optimise their spending and use data-driven results to make the business case for change.

“Since 2012, our team has worked persistently to build an analytics solution that helps customers plan, optimize and save on their way to cloud,” TSO Logic CEO, Aaron Rallo, wrote in a blog post.

“Together with AWS, we are excited to go further with our mission to simplify cloud planning and IT transformation.”

TSO Logic will remain headquartered in Vancouver and all TSO Logic employees have been offered positions with Amazon, according to TechCrunch reports.

Microsoft acquired a company that offers a similar service in 2017.

Named Cloudyn, the firm helps customers to manage their cloud billing across multiple clouds.
