IBM signs AI and hybrid cloud deals with automotive firms Volkswagen, Moovster and Vinturas
IBM has signed AI and hybrid cloud deals with three European automotive companies.
Volkswagen, Moovster and Vinturas all partnered with the American firm to glean insights across their value chains.
"Our relationship with vehicles and the way we experience mobility is expected to change drastically over the coming decade," said Dirk Wollschlaeger, General Manager Global Automotive, Aerospace & Defense Industries at IBM.
"AI and Hybrid Cloud are viewed as key drivers of evolving business models, such as personalized digital services in and around the vehicle."

German firm Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH partnered with IBM in a bid to meet the group’s goal to sell more than one million electric vehicles annually by 2025.
The company has therefore, teamed up with IBM to implement SAP S/4HANA in a bid to streamline its financial processes worldwide for the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand.
Munich-based mobility and AI startup, Moovster has also created a new Mobility-as-a-Service platform which it is running in the IBM Cloud.
Elsewhere, Vinturas, a Netherlands-based logistics business plans to use the IBM Blockchain to createa a platform which will enable transparency when buying a new or used car.
