Tencent and True IDC partner for Thailand’s first AI-enabled cloud platform
Tencent and Thailand’s leading data centre and cloud services provider True Internet Data Center (True IDC) have announced a collaboration that will see the establishment of Thailand’s first AI-enabled cloud platform.
The platform will offer a full suite of cloud services for both the public and private sectors, boosting Thai organisations’ access to state-of-the-art cloud solutions nationwide.
True IDC noted in its press release that the collaborative move will enable Thailand to maintain its competitive edge in the digital transformation era.
"With a swift growth in digital economy in Thailand, the nation is in need of smart cloud services to fulfill its economic potentials. This is why we decided to join hands with True IDC to establish a center in Thailand,” said Chang Foo, COO of Tencent Thailand, in True IDC’s press release on the matter.

Supparat Sivapetchranat Singhara Na Ayutthaya, Managing Director of True IDC, added:
"In 2019, revenues from cloud services in Thailandhave an average growth of 31.5%. The projected growth can be exceeded if there is a scalable and secure cloud service with the capabilities to provide infrastructure, platform, and software as a service and can support multi-tenant and single tenant use from both private and public sectors.
“With our collaboration with Tencent (Thailand), we could deliver in-country world-class cloud platform that enables organizations and businesses such as the government, financial institutions, and media content service providers with an option to secure their data in the country.”
