Cologix new $130 million data centre to become biggest of its size in Columbus
Cologix’s new $130 million data centre is set to become the biggest facility of its kind in Columbus.
The state-of-the art, center boasts a data capacity of more than 18MW, and will be directly linked to Cologix’s existing data centers which are the most connected facilities in Ohio, offering connectivity to 45+ network service providers, 20+ cloud service providers and the Ohio-IX Internet Exchange.
Cologix said the facility will maintain a 100% uptime record facilitated by 2N redundancies on all critical power infrastructures.
Cologix has designed the site with the most sophisticated cloud providers and enterprises in mind.
The data center will be built based on a concurrently maintainable design with 2N power and N+1 cooling.

Further unique attributes include an EF-4 tornado rating, K-rated perimeter fence and 24×7 guards.
The redundancy, scale, security and connectivity will allow Cologix to uniquely address growing market demand ranging from individual cabinets to multi-megawatt deployments.
The company also announced that AWS Direct Connect is now available through Cologix in Columbus. Customers can now utilize the lowest latency onramp to AWS via an AWS Direct Connect node located in our Columbus data center.
With AWS Direct Connect, customers can connect their infrastructure via a secure and private connection to the AWS Cloud to improve performance and reduce costs compared to onramps via the public Internet.
