Kelly Becker is now Schneider Electric President of Belgium and the Netherlands, in addition to the UK and Ireland, as her role expands to cover more European countries.

Having worked at the company for more than 13 years, Kelly is a senior executive with extensive global experience in business development and building strong teams to achieve positive outcomes. She has spent many years leading Schneider Electric’s business around the world and is responsible for operations in the UK, Ireland and now Belgium and the Netherlands.

Prior to this, Kelly worked as Schneider Electric Country President in Ireland and Vice-President of the Power Solutions Division in the United States.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to now work alongside the teams in Belgium and the Netherlands in addition to the UK & Ireland,” Kelly commented via a LinkedIn post.

Building a strong global business strategy

During her time at Schneider Electric, Kelly has led numerous projects for the company around the world. Her primary focus was placed on strategy and business execution, with her previously working in the US.

She has led development initiatives for the company for a number of years, including its US$4bn Partner Business. Her focus was on strategic growth and breakthrough opportunities, market and geographic expansions and internal startups.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Kelly worked with Danaher Corporation selling complex energy management infrastructure projects to K-12 Schools and Universities in Texas, Illinois and New Mexico. As the company’s Global Product Manager, she was responsible for daily management of its US$130m global product line, including product positioning, competitive strategy, channel optimisation, manufacturing, sales support, quality management and customer service.

Kelly also holds additional responsibilities outside of Schneider Electric, currently serving on the Corporate Advisory Board for the Darden School of Business. She is also the Deputy Chair of the French Chamber of Great Britain and an Executive Director of British American Business.

Schneider Electric continues to ‘power up’ across Europe

Digital transformation is rapidly continuing across Europe, with increasing numbers of companies continuing to invest. In fact, the UK, France and Germany are cited as some of the leading nations receiving foreign direct investment (FDI) for digital technology projects, according to a 2024 EY survey.

Fast-becoming a major technology hub, AWS’ European Sovereign Cloud investment and Microsoft’s billion-dollar investments into several countries across the continent, are just some examples of how big tech is investing across the region.

Schneider Electric has also invested heavily in Europe, including a £7.2m (US$8.75m) investment into its Leeds facility in the United Kingdom to create new jobs and improve sustainability strategies.

The company has recognised the power of disruptive technologies and the influence they hold on major sectors such as data centres, manufacturing and supply chain operations.
