Accenture confirms acquisition of Parker Fitzgerald

The tech giant, Accenture, has announced the acquisition of strategic advisor and consulting partner to global financial organisations, Parker Fitzgerald, to develop the business and technology capabilities within its Finance and Risk practice.

Accenture works with clients across a diverse range of industries, notably the supply chain industry where the global company helps deliver innovative supply chain strategies that accelerates profitable growth in new and existing markets. Its acquisition of Parker Fitzgerald, who provides advice to financial services companies on financial and non-financial risk, regulation and financial technology, reaffirms Accenture's determination to create one of the leading risk and regulatory practices in the UK.

Having initially been established in 2008, Parker Fitzgerald offers strategic advice, independent assurance and market-leading solutions to enable its clients to overcome risks, decrease operational complexity as well as enhancing risk-adjusted performance.

In addition, it is anticipated that the acquisition will allow for Parker Fitzgerald’s advisory and assurance expertise as well as its regulatory experience to significantly aid Accenture’s consulting and technology capabilities to reinforce the firm’s client response to the ever-evolving risk landscape in financial services.
