Uber hopes Holder report will help restore its reputation

The Holder report will be presented today by Uber's chief executive. It contains reports on Uber's culture, and confronts the biggest crisis of leadership that the company has had.
The report was prepared by former US attorney- general Eric Holder and is the result of an investigation into the bad habits that developed as Uber became a national company.
Uber hopes it will draw a line under the series of scandals and setbacks which have plagued the company and damaged its reputation.
The board is still supportive of Mr Kalanick, Uber's chief executive, but his role at Uber could change as he decides whether to take personal leave. However, there would be no clear replacement for him due to so many leadership employees leaving recently. Uber is currently looking for a COO, CFO, general counsel, chief marketing officer and head of business.
It is said that Uber needs to change its culture, and a key step in achieving that change will be the new leadership team the company hires.
Uber's board voted on Sunday to adopt all of the recommendations of the Holder report, which was commissioned by Uber following the allegations of sexual harassment and sexism from a former Uber engineer, Susan Fowler.
