Attio is empowering startups with AI-native CRM, deep customisation, and a startup programme that is fueling growth with agility and scale.

Attio is rapidly emerging as a CRM built specifically for the startup era, offering AI-native, deeply customisable products and a generous startup programme. Attio is empowering startup growth. Its recent funding round demonstrates how its journey is just beginning and how Attio aims to be the pre-eminent CRM for startups in the AI era.

AI at the Core

Unlike legacy CRMs that have to bolt on AI tooling later, Attio’s architecture was built from the ground up to be AI-native. This allows for Attio to deliver real-time data ingestion to keep customer data fresh and unified, intelligent workflow engines, programmable APIs/SDKs, predictive intelligence, and human-AI agent collaboration.

The company has emphasised that having AI deeply embedded and not merely as an afterthought, enables startups to automate complex tasks fast, action insights sooner, and adapt their GTM (go-to-market) systems with speed.

Customisability and flexibility

Startups work in an ever changing ecosystem, and they need their tools to be able to move with these needs. Attio answers that problem by letting users build and modify the platform to match their business needs, rather than forcing the business to conform into rigid frameworks. Through its SDK and programmable surfaces, startups are able to deploy custom applications inside Attio. Workflows, permission systems, automation, and integrations can be shaped to specific needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Co-founder Alexander Christie sums up this idea: “Today’s go-to-market builders expect platforms they can shape to fit their vision, not rigid systems they’re forced to work around.”

Similarly, CEO Nicolas Sharp has said: “AI-native CRM needs a completely different foundation … that allows you to truly understand every customer, take action fast and gives you the freedom to build the exact go-to-market systems you need at scale.”

Startup programme

Attio backs early stage companies through its Startup Programme, which offers substantial discounts for startups, allowing them to utilise the benefits of Attio at a fraction of the cost. For companies incorporated less than five years ago, venture-funded, and within certain funding caps, Attio offers up to 80% off the annual Pro plan (for a limited number of seats) or 50% off in some cases. The aim is to make their platform accessible during the most critical and resource-constrained stages.

This helps startups get on board quickly, without being held back by steep costs, which matches Attio’s overall philosophy of delivering value early. This has been extremely successful in onboarding customers and building long-term partnerships with customers which has resulted in Attio already serving over 5,000 paying customers, including startups like Lovable, Granola, Modal, Replicate and Public.

“Attio finally lets us build a CRM that fits our business, instead of forcing us to fit the software,” Modal says. “The ability to adapt our system as our GTM evolves has been transformative for how we operate.”

Empowering startups to operate with agility, ownership and speed

Earlier in 2025, Attio raised $52 million in its Series B round, led by GV (Google Ventures), to accelerate its AI-native vision and scale engineering and product development globally. With these resources, Attio is doubling down on its roadmap to produce the most efficient and customisable CRM platform for customers.

By combining this deeply integrated AI, high customisability and generous support via its startup programme, Attio is empowering startups to operate with agility, ownership and speed. For many early-stage companies, this means using a CRM that grows with them, not one they outgrow. Attio is positioning itself not just as an alternative to legacy CRMs, but as one of the defining platforms for the AI era of go-to-market operations.
