Tackling the gender data gap

For decades, women have been underrepresented in clinical research, resulting in healthcare solutions built on incomplete or outdated datasets, according to Hertility.

Its partnership with NVIDIA marks a significant step toward developing a scalable AI infrastructure aimed at improving health outcomes for the 51% of the global population historically overlooked in medical research.

Hertility is addressing this imbalance by building the world’s most comprehensive dataset on female reproductive health, encompassing more than 835,000 data variables.

Through this platform, women gain personalised insights into fertility, hormonal health and reproductive wellbeing – advancing beyond one-size-fits-all models of care.

“I’m proud to share that Hertility has been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception Programme, joining a global community of companies advancing the future of AI,” Helen says.

“This partnership marks an important step as we continue building toward a foundational AI platform for women’s health, one designed to ensure that 51% of the world finally benefits from data-driven medicine.

“Grateful to our brilliant Data & AI team and to the NVIDIA healthcare AI group for the collaboration and shared vision.

“We’re only just getting started.”

By harnessing this extensive dataset through AI-powered systems, Hertility aims to redefine evidence-based, personalised healthcare for women, setting a new benchmark for precision medicine in the reproductive health sector.

Accelerating innovation with NVIDIA

Hertility’s inclusion in the NVIDIA Inception Programme is more than a symbolic partnership – it opens the door to NVIDIA’s advanced technology stack, AI expertise and global network of investors.

The programme is renowned for accelerating high-potential AI startups, particularly in healthcare, by providing the infrastructure and technical resources required for scalable product development.

Through this collaboration, Hertility plans to enhance its AI capabilities, reduce diagnostic timelines and deliver real-time, data-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes.

“At Hertility, we have modelled the impact of prevention and early diagnostics at scale,” says Deirdre O’Neill, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial & Legal Officer of Hertility.

“The data is clear.

“If the world shifted to proactive reproductive and hormonal health screening, health systems could save over eight trillion in avoidable costs.

“Eight trillion, unlocked through earlier diagnosis, earlier intervention and less disease progression.”

Shaping the future

Despite being a critical healthcare sector, “women’s health remains significantly underfunded relative to its importance for global wellbeing and economic growth,” according to the World Economic Forum (WEF).

By integrating proprietary datasets, AI-powered diagnostics and strategic industry collaborations, Hertility is positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in this space.

Through technology that reflects the diversity of the global female population, the company is advancing access to medical insights and personalised care tailored to women’s unique biological profiles.

Supporting women at every stage

NVIDIA complements this AI-led innovation with dedicated support for women and families through its “Building Your Family” initiative.
