Samsara's Safety Summit Series will see the firm lead discussions on how technology can be used to improve the safety of supply chain workers and logistics professionals
Samsara is touring 12 US cities leading conversations on how AI can improve safety & reduce business risks alongside American Trucking Associations & Marsh

Samsara is hitting the road this month, setting off on a tour across North America that will bring together logistics experts and technology enthusiasts to discuss how AI can help to shape the safety of supply chains going forward.

The 12-stop tour, named the 'Safety Summit Series', is a multi-city roadshow that will show consumers, clients and curious parties the ways in which AI and ML applications can be used to make fleet, freight and physical operations safer and more secure.

Proceedings kick off in Philadelphia next week, after which the Samsara team will snake across North America up until March next spring, as they look to spread the word across the continent.

In 2025, commercial driving (primarily trucking) remains among the 10 most dangerous occupations in the US, with frontline workers facing risks like poor road conditions and accidental workplace injuries alarmingly often.

According to Samsara, however, AI could prove to be the solution to these issues in time.

Samsara's partners

The Safety Summit Series is set to feature many of Samsara's industry partners, including established organisations like the American Trucking Association, Together for Safer Roads and the insurance broker Marsh.

Amy Wilson, Director of DOT and Fleet Compliance at NexTier, who spoke at Samsara's previous Dallas event, thinks that this collaborative spirit helps to spread messages across the sector very effectively.

"It's one thing to see new fleet safety technology in action, but it's even more valuable to sit down with other leaders and hear how they're implementing it across complex organisations and overcoming similar challenges," she says.

"It's not just about streamlining processes; it's about building a proactive safety culture based on real-world data."

Elsewhere, Johan Land, Samsara's SVP of Product and Engineering, sees the summits as important ways to address growing concerns over workplace safety.

"Frontline workers face daily, escalating risks, from dangerous driving conditions to on-the-job injuries," he says, "with driving ranked among the top 10 most dangerous jobs in the US."

“These summits will feature real-world use cases of organisations harnessing data and automation powered by Samsara to ensure every driver and frontline worker gets home safely.”

How predictive AI can prevent accidents

The summit agenda centres on three core applications of Samsara's AI-powered platform technology.

Risk prediction and reduction utilise AI-powered cameras combined with Weather Intelligence systems to assess real-time crash probabilities.

Driver retention programmes incorporate automated safety coaching and training systems, enabling managers to prioritise safety incidents while implementing recognition schemes for safe driving behaviours.

Worker protection features include automatic check-in systems, one-click emergency SOS functionality and enhanced privacy controls designed to safeguard field teams.

The emphasis on predictive rather than reactive safety measures reflects broader industry movement towards data-driven risk management across commercial vehicle operations.

Compliance and insurance

Summit discussions will address navigation of complex regulatory landscapes, a persistent challenge for fleet operators managing multi-jurisdictional operations.

Insurance strategy optimisation represents another key theme, with Marsh's participation suggesting focus on how safety technology adoption impacts premium structures and risk assessment methodologies.

The inclusion of regulatory compliance specialists alongside technology providers indicates recognition that successful safety technology deployment requires alignment with existing frameworks rather than wholesale replacement of established procedures.

Hitting the road

The roadshow covers major commercial hubs including Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto and Denver, with the tour concluding in Calgary in March 2026.

This geographic distribution suggests Samsara's recognition that safety challenges and regulatory requirements vary significantly across different regions and operational environments.

The extended timeline through early 2026 indicates the company's commitment to sustained engagement with safety professionals rather than one-off technology demonstrations.
