Qargo Raises $33m to Scale AI Logistics Automation

Qargo – a Belgian logistics software company behind an AI-driven, cloud-based Transport Management System – has raised US$33m in Series B funding. The round was led by Belgian investment firm Sofina, alongside existing investor Balderton Capital.
The raise takes Qargo’s total funding to US$54m, underlining growing demand for automation and data-led decision-making in a sector still burdened by manual processes and fragmented systems.
Qargo said the capital will support product development and European expansion as it deepens platform-led automation for transport operations.
Built for carriers, freight forwarders and 3PLs, Qargo’s platform automates repetitive tasks across the transport lifecycle, including planning, execution, invoicing and reporting, helping teams move faster with fewer touchpoints.
The company positions its technology as a way to improve operational efficiency, margin performance and service reliability through smarter workflows and better visibility.
Qargo has expanded across key European logistics hubs over the past 18 months as more operators modernise their transport tech stacks.
Enhancing transport management with AI
The funding announcement follows a period of considerable progress for Qargo.

“Since our Series A, we’ve grown revenue, customers and team at an exceptional pace while remaining highly capital efficient. The Series B funding allows us to continue investing and grow the team so that we can keep offering the same level of customer service.”
Qargo’s platform uses agentic AI that can interact with external systems. This technology could reduce overhead costs and speed up processes more effectively than traditional Transport Management Systems (TMS).
According to Qargo, its optimisation functionality can cut empty running by up to 30%, helping companies manage their fleets more efficiently.
The platform’s AI engine, Qargo Intelligence, automates large portions of the end-to-end transport workflow, which has helped customers reduce time spent on repetitive administrative tasks by up to 75%.
This can result in savings of hundreds of hours weekly for planning, customer service and back-office teams.
Scaling operations and client success
The new investment will support Qargo in scaling its team and expanding into new markets.
Qargo has already increased its customer base from 100 to more than 400 since May 202, and the funding will help to expand its capabilities.
The platform's impact on client operations is a key aspect of its value proposition.

Cloud security in modern logistics
As cyberattacks on the logistics sector increase, Qargo’s cloud-first approach provides a security advantage.
Qargo achieved ISO 27001 certification early in its development, exclusively uses Google Cloud with Cloud Armour protection and conducts continuous code scanning and regular testing with in-house security specialists to protect customer data.
This model means customers do not need to manage their own security infrastructure.

The platform also features a real-time work-sharing network. This allows customers to maintain the same level of transparency and control over subcontracted jobs as they would with their own fleet, reducing the need for manual communication typically required when using a conventional TMS.
