Tech Mahindra & UKG Partner to Boost Workforce Agility

AI-driven workforces are increasingly becoming a norm in global enterprises. To meet this growing demand, Tech Mahindra and UKG have announced a global partnership to help organisations enhance productivity and workforce agility.
The tie-up aims to help small and mid-market organisations in North America across the IT, retail, manufacturing and services sectors.
Tech Mahindra, which offers technology consulting and digital solutions, will deploy the UKG Workforce Operating Platform for its employees. The organisation will also expand its UKG services practice to implement and support the platform for global enterprises.
The initiative will address a rising demand for AI-driven workforce solutions that streamline complex labour environments. With its presence spanning over 90 countries, Tech Mahindra intends to deliver end-to-end solutions that accelerate global workforce efficiency.
The UKG platform is built on a large collection of workforce data and utilises people-first AI. It allows organisations to optimise frontline operations and drive better business outcomes.
The partnership enables more productive and resilient workplaces by helping leaders navigate dynamic environments.
Sumit Kumar Popli, President Technology, Media and Entertainment Business at Tech Mahindra, says: “As organisations navigate increasingly dynamic workforce environments, they need intelligent and scalable solutions that improve agility, enhance employee experience and drive stronger business outcomes.
“Our partnership with UKG brings together deep transformation expertise and advanced workforce innovation to help enterprises address frontline workforce challenges with greater confidence.”
A global service expansion
By deploying UKG within its own organisation, Tech Mahindra aims to lead by example, driving meaningful workforce transformation at scale.
It is also leveraging its global scale and long-standing partnership with UKG to transform hire-to-retire processes while helping drive enhanced adoption and measurable return on investment for customers.
The partnership is expected to further expand by tapping into UKG’s AI-led capabilities to accelerate recruiting, enhance onboarding experiences and improve operational accuracy. This ranges from payroll integrity to talent mobility and overall workforce health.
Jay Dettling, Chief Partner Officer at UKG, notes: “We are excited to deepen our partnership with Tech Mahindra, a globally respected technology consultancy with proven enterprise delivery expertise.
“Tech Mahindra’s decision to both grow its UKG services capabilities and deploy our Workforce Operating Platform builds on our global momentum and growth strategy. Together, we will help organisations better support their frontline employees while driving operational excellence.”
Innovation and strategic growth
While Tech Mahindra and UKG share a decade-long partnership focused on enterprise service and support, both companies continue to advance independent initiatives that accelerate modernisation through consulting strength and workforce innovation.
Tech Mahindra recently enhanced its service capabilities in the banking, financial services and insurance sectors through its acquisition of Canada-based IT services provider, Alluri Technologies.
This acquisition follows its company strategy of expanding its global footprint and technical expertise. Tech Mahindra is the first Indian firm to receive the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s Terra Carta Seal for its environmental efforts.
The organisation also partnered with Cisco to launch a joint security solution called Cyber Resilience Fabric to help enterprises strengthen digital resilience by providing unified visibility and intelligence-led decision-making.
UKG has similarly advanced its independent offerings by introducing UKG Pro Pay with Workforce AI, which delivers AI-powered payroll capabilities to help organisations detect and resolve potential issues in real time.
The solution utilises agentic, assistive and gen AI to transform payroll from a back-office process into a system of action. This will help in identifying errors and guide issue resolution across the entire payroll lifecycle.
By uniting global consulting scale with people-first AI, Tech Mahindra and UKG are working towards a future of work that is not just automated, but intelligently integrated and resilient.
