Technology Leaders Redefine Sustainability at 2025 Awards

The Global Sustainability Awards 2025 bring together innovators, businesses and leaders who are embedding ESG practices into their strategies and technologies.
Now established as a key international event, the awards celebrate those redefining how industries measure, scale and deliver sustainability across operations and markets.
For the technology sector, sustainability is no longer optional.
From the energy demands of data centres to the social responsibility of digital services, technology companies play a central role in driving the global transition towards net zero.
The sector faces pressure to cut emissions, reduce waste and improve transparency, while also delivering innovation at speed.
Whether through AI, cloud infrastructure, supply chain tools or digital-first campaigns, technology solutions are shaping sustainability outcomes on a global scale.
At this year’s awards, several technology-led organisations stand out for their impact and approach, including Terraformation, One New Zealand, ANS Group, Ramboll, RELX, ECL, HH Global and Scala Data Centers.
Terraformation – SME Company of the Year and Sustainable Technology Award
Terraformation, a Hawaii-based reforestation company founded in 2020 by former Reddit CEO Yishan Wong, won both SME Company of the Year and Sustainable Technology Award for accelerating native forest restoration.
Its work includes seed banks, nursery kits and solar desalination, enabling biodiversity recovery and addressing climate change.
Through its open-source Terraware platform, Terraformation empowers stakeholders worldwide to scale restoration projects transparently and effectively.
One New Zealand – Medium Company of the Year
One New Zealand, formerly Vodafone NZ, has been recognised for embedding ESG across telecommunications.
The company powers its networks with renewable energy, implements circular device programmes and uses AI for operational efficiency.
Alongside these initiatives, its inclusive governance, transparent stakeholder engagement and community projects show how telecom infrastructure supports sustainable, purpose-led national development.
ANS Group – Diversity & Inclusion Award
ANS Group, a UK-based cloud and digital transformation specialist, won the Diversity & Inclusion Award for its approach to this field.
The company drives inclusive recruitment with data-led processes, supports neurodiversity and flexible working and builds employee-led communities.
Through apprenticeships, outreach, pro bono services and volunteering, ANS strengthens both workforce culture and customer impact.
Ramboll – Future Leader Award (Sripragas Nadaraja)
Sripragas Nadaraja, Sustainable Design Director at Ramboll, earns recognition for advancing net zero buildings across Southeast Asia.
His achievements include a low-energy cooling system, a one-click embodied-carbon tool and regenerative design principles applied at the district scale.
By combining technical solutions with policy influence and stakeholder workshops, he translates complex challenges into scalable climate action.
RELX – Lifetime of Achievement Award (Márcia Balisciano)
Márcia Balisciano, Chief Sustainability Officer at RELX, was honoured with the Lifetime of Achievement Award for more than two decades of leadership in embedding ESG into corporate responsibility.

Her leadership ensures the company increases its positive social contributions while minimising environmental and reputational risks.
ECL – Net Zero, Project of the Year and Start-Up of the Year Award
ECL, a California start-up, has been awarded for developing modular, hydrogen-powered data centres.
Its 3D-printed units run on green hydrogen fuel cells, generating both electricity and cooling water while eliminating emissions.
Built for high-density computing and rapid deployment, ECL redefines sustainable digital infrastructure, setting a scalable blueprint for zero-emissions technology.
Scala Data Centers – Sustainable Finance Award
Scala Data Centers, Latin America’s leading hyperscale provider, wins for financing sustainable infrastructure through green debenture issuances.
