Telehouse Canada has entered into a strategic alliance with Network-as-a-Service provider Megaport to deliver enhanced cloud connectivity across its Canadian data centre portfolio.

The collaboration is intended to give customers operating within Telehouse Canada facilities direct access to Megaport’s global fabric of cloud and service providers, strengthening cross-border reach and enabling more flexible network architectures.

As part of the KDDI Group, Telehouse Canada operates carrier-neutral data centres that serve enterprises, cloud providers, and network operators.

By integrating Megaport’s platform, Telehouse Canada is expanding the connectivity options available to customers that require low-latency access to global cloud services and scalable network capacity to support evolving digital workloads.

Enabling scalable hybrid and multi-cloud networks

Under this partnership, organisations hosted within Telehouse Canada data centres gain access to Megaport’s global network, which includes more than 280 cloud on-ramps and more than 300 service providers worldwide.

This enables customers to establish private, high-performance connections to leading public cloud platforms and IT services without relying on the public internet.

With access to the Megaport Portal from all Telehouse Canada facilities, customers can provision connectivity on demand and adjust bandwidth as requirements evolve.

This supports a broad range of use cases, including hybrid cloud architectures, multi-cloud deployments, and cross-region data replication, which are increasingly common among data centre customers managing distributed IT environments.

The integration aims to streamline cloud networking by reducing the complexity typically involved in provisioning and managing connectivity across multiple providers and regions.

Customers can leverage Megaport Cloud Routers to move data directly between cloud platforms, while API integration enables network services to be deployed and managed programmatically.

Strengthening the data centre ecosystem

For Telehouse Canada, the partnership supports a broader strategy to build highly interconnected data centre campuses that extend beyond traditional colocation.

For data centres hosting AI and high-performance computing workloads, this capability addresses rising demand for fast, reliable interconnection between data, compute and AI services.

By enabling private connectivity to specialised AI resources, customers can optimise performance and data movement while maintaining control over security and latency.

Positioned as an extension of the connectivity services available within Telehouse Canada facilities, AI Exchange allows customers to integrate AI capabilities into their existing architectures without significant changes to underlying infrastructure.
