SAP Sapphire 2024: Highlights From Day One
SAP kicked off its annual Sapphire conference in Orlando with a bang, unveiling a wave of new generative AI (Gen AI) innovations and high-profile partnerships that will supercharge its enterprise cloud solutions with cutting-edge Business AI capabilities.
Along with partnerships with companies like Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS and Nvidia, SAP announced how its Gen AI copilot, Joule, is rapidly expanding throughout the company's solution portfolio. After its launch in SAP SuccessFactors last autumn, Joule is now embedded in SAP S/4HANA Cloud solutions, SAP Build and SAP Integration Suite, with further expansion planned for SAP Ariba and SAP Analytics Cloud.

SAP Sapphire Day One: Gen AI, BTP innovation and overcoming challenges
Andreas Welsch, SAP's VP and Head of AI Marketing, shared his enthusiasm for the Gen AI capabilities SAP has announced across its portfolio. He discussed how SAP is proactively helping customers prepare their organisations and workforces to effectively adopt and leverage generative AI, and previewed some of the potentially game-changing generative AI innovations on SAP’s product roadmap.
Team Liquid's co-CEO Steve Arhancet and Partnerships Manager Thom Valks discussed how the esports organisation has leveraged SAP's Business Technology Platform to create their cutting-edge Next Level Esports Center, and how the partnership is leading to continued success.
Steve Birgfeld, VP, Information Technology and Services at Blue Diamond Growers, explained the key factors that motivated the almond cooperative's digital transformation initiative in partnership with SAP. He highlighted operational efficiencies and optimisations across the supply chain achieved through implementing solutions like SAP S/4HANA, Integrated Business Planning and others.
Tony Harris, SVP and Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer for SAP Business Network, unpacks some of the biggest supply chain challenges companies currently face given the disruptions of recent years, and explains how SAP’s innovations are transforming businesses globally.
