Vinesh Sukumar: Leading Qualcomm’s AI and Gen AI Development
Across the AI industry, there is a shift from isolated, cloud-based models to embedded systems.
Technology company Qualcomm is working on building these solutions, having expanded into embedded AI, IoT and augmented reality.

Vinesh Sukumar is the Vice President of Product Management, AI/Gen AI at Qualcomm Technologies.
He joined the company in 2020 after spending six years as Head of AI Product and Strategic AI Architecture at Intel.
He has more than 20 years of experience in technology and computing, including engineering, research, strategy and development.
Vinesh also serves as a board member and an industry advisor, working on bridging the gap between academic AI research and real-world commercial deployment.
Vinesh says: “I have the absolute privilege of leading the AI product team at Qualcomm. As part of this role, I drive AI systems, hardware and software strategy and the vision for all the business units within Qualcomm.
“I've been at Qualcomm for close to six years, and it's been an absolute blast learning a lot of new things.”
