Choosing the Right Platform for Customer-Facing Experiences
IT leaders are increasingly partnering with line-of-business leaders to create and evolve differentiating digital applications

About

IT leaders are increasingly partnering with line-of-business leaders to create and evolve differentiating digital applications for a range of external audiences — including prospects, existing customers, suppliers, and go-to-market partners such as dealers, distributors, and retailers.

This session will help IT leaders navigate their options, including bespoke applications built on a headless CMS + JS front-end, low code application platforms (LCAP), and digital experience platforms (DXP).

We'll look at external audience expectations for personalisation and convenience, internal requirements for data privacy and security, and technical considerations such as the ability to leverage AI and Cloud.

Speakers

Bryan Cheung, Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder, Liferay

As one of the co-founders of Liferay since 2004 and its CEO from 2006 to 2023, Bryan Cheung has played a critical role in building and maturing the popular open source project into a global, profitable enterprise software company. Working with an incredibly talented team, Bryan was able to expand Liferay's presence to international markets, particularly in Europe where he spent four and half years building teams to serve a growing customer base and open source community. He also helped the company make several milestone transitions, introducing a commercial enterprise offering in 2009, transitioning fully to subscription pricing in 2014, and introducing PaaS and SaaS offerings of Liferay DXP in 2018 and 2022.

In his most recent role as CMO, Bryan helps to ensure our product can solve problems for new and existing buyers, and works to tell the Liferay story to new generations of customers and partners, expanding the company's footprint beyond its traditional base to include new segments.
