Speaking at Tech & AI LIVE London 2024, Lisa Moneymaker, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at Sama, explored how advancements in AI are transforming clinical trials, accelerating drug development and improving data accuracy.
Lisa’s keynote presentations delved into the impact of AI in the healthcare industry, detailing the need for effective data processing and analysis, the ability of AI to predict patient behaviour and the importance of ensuring that AI doesn’t replace human decisions.
She highlighted how, “We’re seeing breakthroughs in refining medical-specific models to interact more natively with data.”

Also featuring at Tech & AI LIVE London 2024, Marco Vernocchi, Global Chief Data Officer at EY, uncovered how organisations can extract value from data in our current age of AI.
Marco highlighted how organisations must be able to handle the complexities that derive from Generative AI (Gen AI). He continued to explain how we can do so my leveraging five dimensions: value, trust, intelligence, data and technology.
To craft a effective strategy, organisations must focus on a need for an “obsessive focus on results and sharp execution”, “value first” principles and “future cases” to enhance scalability and imagine new possibilities.

Becky Power, Managing Director for EMEA Strategy & Operations at Google, explored the transformative role of AI at Tech & AI LIVE London 2024.
Her keynote discussion spotlighted the importance of embracing change, developing the right focus and receiving the most effective investment.
Becky’s presentation emphasised the impact every development in AI will have on our future and captures the curiosity we still feel towards this new technology - "What does it mean for us as people? What does it mean for companies that we work in?”

Speaking at Tech & AI LIVE London 2024, Tia Cheang, Director of IT Data and Information Services for UK and MENA at Gallagher, highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in the technology and AI industries.
Tia emphasised how we can enhance D&I by exposing underrepresented groups to technology from a young age, enhancing outreach, improving workplace inclusivity and encouraging mentoring.
“If you have staff from different backgrounds, you better understand your customers’ needs and can design more inclusive products and services,” she said.
“The pandemic accelerated digitisation by a decade within just a year.”
Featuring at Tech & AI LIVE New York, Ranjan Sinha, IBM Fellow, Vice President and CTO of IBM Research AI, explored data, advancements in AI and insights on how we can integrate data strategies to propel innovation.
During his keynote presentation, Ranjan explored the importance of AI as a transformative force, IBM’s focus on Generative AI, the hurdles organisations face with data management and the impact Generative AI is having on operational efficiencies and enterprise workflows.
He left the audience with a bold statement - “This is the time to reimagine collaboration, workflows, and processes.”

Navneet Singh of Palo Alto Networks and Ravi Krishnamurthy of ServiceNow featured on ‘The Future of Generative AI’ panel at Tech & AI LIVE New York.
Navneet explored AI’s role in precision cybersecurity, education and medicine, detailing AI’s potential to augment human expertise responsibly.
Ravi detailed how ServiceNow enhances customer’s experiences and improves workflows across industries by integrating AI and automation to enhance efficiency. He later outlined his predictions for a future of enhanced human-AI collaboration.
Overall, both speakers agreed on the importance of ethical AI practices to prevent misuse.

Speaking at Tech & AI LIVE: Gen AI, Aaron Kalyani, Global AI Transformation Leader at the UN explored scaling ethical AI.
Aaron highlighted how the UN utilises AI to predict and respond to disasters, analyse satelitte imagery and oversee social media and news reports to predict conflict or potential violence.
He later detailed the importance of ethics in AI development and the ability of this powerful piece of technology to enhance environmental conservation.
Aaron concluded his presentation by stating how, “Ethics must guide every step, ensuring AI serves humanity rather than harming it.”
“AI is already being misused to deceive and humiliate people.”
Sachin Agrawal, UK Managing Director at Zoho, Bobby Blumofe, Executive Vice President at CTO at Akamai and Deepak Paramanand, Director of Artificial Intelligence at JPMorgan Chase featured on our ‘Ethical AI’ panel at Tech & AI LIVE: Gen AI.
Bobby and Deepak drew attention to the current ethical challenges that lie with AI, such as deception, misinformation, bias and data privacy.
The panel emphasised the need to balance innovation responsibly with ethics when developing AI to prevent ‘AI-washing’, where organisations misuse the technology due to their hast to exploit it.

Aaron Celaya, Deputy Program Manager, USSF University Consortium at United States Department of the Air Force, Alex Guilbault, Head of AI at TELUS and Rajat Ahluwalia, Vice President of Engineering at Capgemini featured on our ‘Future of Generative AI’ panel at Tech & AI LIVE: Gen AI.
The panel delved into Generative AI’s ability to enhance human workflows and decisions, its shift from an advisor to a peer and the need to consider its ethical implications.
Aaron highlighted how, “Ethical considerations should guide the development of human-machine teams, ensuring AI enhances rather than replaces human decision-making.”
All three of the speakers agreed that Generative AI will redefine industries and how we interact with machines, but emphasises the importance of developing a balanced approach where we combine innovation with ethical standards and regulatory oversight.

Speaking at Tech & AI LIVE: Gen AI, Prerak Garg, Senior Director of Cloud and AI Strategy at Microsoft discussed the next generation of AI.
Prerak delved into the technological shifts that are democratising AI development and redefining the boundaries of productivity.
He explored how Generative AI marks the next stage in a series of technological revolutions, the importance of the rise of copilots and how AI is transforming into a proactive agent.
Prerak outlined a framework for organisations to leverage the transition from reactive copilots to proactive agents with ease -
