Nikolay Burlutskiy, Senior Manager of GenAI Platforms at Mars
Dr Nikolay Burlutskiy is the Senior Manager for Enterprise Gen AI Platforms at Mars.
Nikolay is passionate about developing trustworthy AI models and platforms to improve, accelerate and transform business processes in large organisations.
Before joining Mars, he was Director of ML & AI at AstraZeneca R7D, UK. Nikolay led algorithm development of Inify - a successful decision support tool to empower pathologists - at ContextVision in Stockholm. He also worked as an R&D AI engineer at Samsung Electronics in South Korea, developing vacuum cleaning robots.
Nikolay has a PhD in ML and NLP and has co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications (including several US patents on AI applications).
We recently caught up with Nikolay to discover what inspired him to get involved as a judge at the Global Tech & AI Awards, what he hopes to achieve through it and his predictions for the future of the technology and AI industries.
What inspired you to get involved with The Global Tech & AI Awards?
The Global Tech & AI Awards is a great platform to highlight and celebrate the latest advances in Tech and AI as well as an opportunity to be exposed to challenges across industries that can be solved with AI and other latest technologies.
I feel privileged to be involved and to contribute to the AI community.
What importance do the Global Tech & AI Awards have to the industry?
AI is a fast-paced field, it’s a challenge to keep up with all the recent advances in AI, Gen AI, LLMs and other disruptive technologies.
The impact of AI in the next 5-10 years on many industries is going to be tremendous.
The Global Tech & AI Awards is a great initiative to measure and celebrate the progress of AI in the industry.
The platform also provides visibility to industry leaders and technology enthusiasts on the Tech & AI trends.
What trends do you think will impact the future of the tech and AI industries?
Gen AI has quickly moved from research labs to diverse industries and enterprises across the Globe. I think it’s just the beginning for Gen AI.
Democratisation of AI, Gen AI and LLMs is happening at an amazing pace so the future of AI is bright and promising.
What qualities do winning entries possess?
Winning entries are agile, creative and brave in their thinking and acting process.
They are also good at communicating the problem and their approach to developing a solution.
What advice would you give to individuals or companies aspiring to win this award in the future?
Be brave and embrace the change, enjoy the AI revolution meanwhile.
