Oracle’s AI Agent Studio: Streamlining Enterprise Automation

AI agents are increasingly being adopted by large enterprises to automate complex processes across industries.
For example, in financial services, procurement agents are being used to handle vendor contracts and invoices with minimal human intervention.
Meanwhile in manufacturing, companies deploy maintenance agents to monitor equipment performance and initiate service requests.
These implementations have led to measurable improvements, including reduced process cycle times, lower operational costs and improved compliance accuracy.
However, despite these successes, scaling AI agent deployments across entire organisations remains a challenge due to technical complexity – causing many businesses to struggle to move beyond departmental pilots while maintaining robust security protocols and governance standards.
Tackling these challenges, Oracle has introduced its AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications.
Oracle addresses adoption barriers with AI Agent Studio
Oracle’s platform aims to address the problems associated with deploying AI agents at scale in large organisations.
- More than 50 pre-packaged AI agents already available in Oracle Fusion Applications
- Three times more organisations planning to invest in agentic architectures in 2025 compared to 2024
- Zero additional cost for existing Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications customers to access the AI Agent Studio
Unveiled at Oracle CloudWorld in London, the solution focuses on reducing the technical expertise required for configuring and orchestrating agent workflows.
The AI Agent Studio builds upon Oracle’s existing capabilities within its Fusion Cloud Applications Suite – and it provides tools for customers and partners to create customised AI agents without incurring additional licensing costs.
Businesses can automate multi-step processes while retaining oversight through configurable checkpoints.
Steve Miranda, Executive Vice President of Applications at Oracle, describes the development as a natural progression in enterprise software: “AI agents are the next phase of evolution in enterprise applications.
“Business leaders need the flexibility to create specific functionality that addresses their unique and evolving business needs.”
Oracles’ integration features strengthen enterprise workflows
Oracale’s platform includes libraries of templates designed for creating AI agents tailored to specific business scenarios, such as processing return orders or managing shift schedules.
These templates enable users to assemble multiple agents that can collaborate on complex tasks while incorporating checkpoints for human approvals.
Additionally, Oracle’s AI Agent Studio supports integration with various large language models (LLMs), such as Llama and Cohere, which are optimised for Fusion Applications – and businesses can connect external industry-specific LLMs for specialised use cases.
A key feature of the platform is its native integration with Oracle Fusion Applications – which allows direct access to APIs, knowledge repositories, and preconfigured tools without requiring extensive customisation.
The integration ensures that enterprise-specific business logic is preserved within automated workflows while adhering to Oracle’s security configurations and access controls.
The platform also facilitates connectivity between Oracle Fusion Applications AI agents and third-party systems via secure APIs – supporting both immediate actions and extended processes across different platforms.
Industry leaders weigh in on strategic value
Several Oracle partners have expressed their support for the new platform.
Lan Guan, Chief AI Officer at Accenture, says: “AI-powered innovation is enabling our clients to reinvent processes and transform the way they work.
“Our research shows that agentic architectures featuring AI agents will enter the mainstream in 2025.”
Mauro Schiavon, Global Chief Commercial Officer for Oracle Business at Deloitte Consulting, adds: “With the rapid rise of AI agents, organisations are facing an ongoing challenge of how to manage and measure the impact of these digital workers.
“Platforms like Oracle’s new AI Agent Studio can enable customisation that addresses unique business needs.”
Furthermore, to address concerns around governance and reliability, Oracle’s platform includes validation tools that ensure repeatability, explainability, security and performance of AI outputs.
Its existing portfolio of over 50 embedded AI agents within Fusion Applications forms the foundation for this new offering.
Steve concludes: “With the agents already embedded in Fusion Applications and our new AI Agent Studio, customers will be able to further extend automation and ultimately achieve more while spending less.”
