KPMG Velocity AI Platform to Power Business Transformations

The rapid adoption of AI in global businesses has created pressure for organisations to transform multiple aspects of their operations simultaneously, with research from KPMG indicating 88% of global chief executives are managing two or more transformation initiatives at once.
These concurrent transformations present challenges in coordinating changes across technology infrastructure, operational processes and regulatory compliance. Organisations face difficulties in maintaining business continuity while implementing new systems, managing risk and retaining competitive advantage.
In response to these challenges, professional services firm KPMG International has announced a new AI platform designed to accelerate business transformation projects.
The platform, named KPMG Velocity, will integrate the firm’s existing digital transformation tools with AI capabilities when it launches in mid-2025 across Australia, China, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK and USA, with plans to extend the platform to additional markets following the initial rollout.
KPMG Velocity combines AI tools with business transformation methodologies
The new platform brings together several of KPMG’s existing transformation products – including Connected Enterprise, Powered Enterprise, Trusted Imperative and Elevate – into a single environment. These tools, which represent a multibillion-dollar investment by the firm, will be enhanced with AI capabilities to help organisations redesign their operations.
The platform incorporates industry insights, data analytics, environmental social and governance (ESG) considerations, cybersecurity measures, risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance tools into a single, unified system. This integration aims to provide KPMG consultants with comprehensive resources when advising clients on digital transformation projects.
Carl Carande, Global Head of Advisory at KPMG International and Vice Chair of Advisory at KPMG US, explains: “KPMG’s substantial investments in building transformation technology solutions have made it possible to build one transformation environment for our clients that seamlessly integrates our digital transformation capability. This will enhance the speed, agility, precision and confidence with which our clients can move forward and build value.”
KPMG Velocity targets enterprise-wide technology change
The platform aims to help organisations modify their technology infrastructure, business functions and overall enterprise strategy through a unified approach. It includes pre-configured solutions and assessment tools that can be implemented across different technology platforms.
These capabilities are designed to address the increasing complexity of business transformation projects, which often require changes across multiple areas of an organisation simultaneously.
The firm’s Private Enterprise division, which focuses on entrepreneurs, family businesses and growth companies, will utilise the platform to support emerging technology companies. This division provides services from early-stage development through to rapid growth phases, offering access to KPMG’s global resources through dedicated advisers.
- 88% of global CEOs are managing 2+ transformation initiatives simultaneously
- 8 major markets (Australia, China, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK, USA) where the AI platform will initially launch in mid-2025
- 275K partners and employees in the firm's global network who will have access to the platform
The platform will be available to KPMG’s network of 275,000 partners and employees working across member firms worldwide.
Technology foundations and business function redesign
KPMG Velocity also includes tools for organisations to rebuild their technical infrastructure while modernising business functions. The platform enables integration of AI and emerging technologies into existing operating models.
The system provides assessment frameworks, templates and pre-configured solutions that can be adapted to different technology platforms. These resources aim to help organisations implement changes while maintaining alignment with their strategic objectives.
Ian Hancock, Global Head of Consulting at KPMG International, says: “With the world changing at pace, organisations must move quickly to stay ahead and see through complex challenges while effectively sustaining change. Isolated transformations are no longer enough.
"To keep advancing, clients need the pace to get ahead and the strategic direction to stay there. KPMG Velocity gives them both by eliminating inefficiencies and helping to ensure each step of the transformational journey is secure and in sync with their long-term goals, allowing them to navigate complexity with ease.”
