Alibaba Cloud launches Model Studio: Exclusive, a secure AI platform for highly-regulated industries, offering advanced AI agent and LLM capabilities

Alibaba Cloud has unveiled Model Studio: Exclusive.

Launching it at the Indonesia AI Conference 2025, Model Studio: Exclusive is a specialised, enterprise-grade AI development platform designed for secure deployment on hybrid and private cloud infrastructures.

The new platform targets highly regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare and public services, where data privacy, security and compliance are crucial.

Effortlessly supercharging AI journeys

As enterprises increasingly adopt AI to drive digital transformation, the challenge of managing sensitive data in compliance with strict regulations is substantial.

Model Studio: Exclusive addresses this by enabling organisations to build, customise and deploy LLMs and intelligent AI agents entirely within their own secured environments.

This, Alibaba says, empowers businesses to leverage Gen AI capabilities without compromising control over critical data assets.

Alibaba Cloud says users can “seamlessly integrate our advanced AI models – such as Qwen-Max (MoE), Qwen-VL (visual understanding) and the Wan series (video generation) – via Model Studio’s purpose-built APIs”.

Sean Yuan, Vice President of Alibaba Cloud International, Regional General Manager of South Pacific and Japan, says: “With Model Studio: Exclusive, we are putting the power of generative AI directly into the hands of enterprises.

“In an era where trust and compliance are non-negotiable, this platform empowers organisations to innovate responsibly.

“Whether it’s customising foundational models or building intelligent AI agents, our customers can now do it all within their secure environments, accelerating their AI transformation with confidence.”

The platform offers a comprehensive set of tools tailored for enterprise needs, including precision data parsing for secure LLM training, automated data synthesis combined with quality assurance to optimise workflows and cross-modality data processing to enhance model performance through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.

As well as this, Model Studio: Exclusive supports end-to-end AI task automation, enabling AI agents to break down complex objectives, devise strategic plans and autonomously execute specialised tasks such as data analytics, code execution and internet interaction – driving genuine operational efficiencies.

Advancing AI talent and skills development on a global scale

Alongside the launch, Alibaba Cloud unveiled its VISION AI+Design Career Certification – a global programme which will equip creators, designers and emerging professionals with AI-powered design skills.

The VISION curriculum, developed by experts at Alibaba Cloud Design Innovation Center and Alibaba Cloud Academy, focuses on AI-driven creative workflows, including training on ComfyUI and Alibaba’s advanced visual AI models, such as Wan.

The certification aims to empower participants with practical expertise and industry-recognised credentials to advance careers in the Gen AI era.

Supporting its commitment to AI talent development, Alibaba Cloud also announced a strategic collaboration with Telkom University, a private university in Indonesia.

Through this partnership, Alibaba Cloud Academy will implement the Academic Empowerment Program and Training Partner Program to provide students and faculty with access to industry-leading cloud and AI curricula, supported by certifications and hands-on training.

The collaboration is set to explore the creation of a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on accelerating next-generation technologies, cloud security and AI adoption in Indonesia.

This initiative complements ongoing efforts with more than 20 Indonesian universities – including Universitas Indonesia and Binus University – to nurture digital talent in alignment with the country’s national digital transformation objectives.
