Foxconn, Nvidia and Tesla to Power Humanoid Robot Revolution

Humanoid robots are no longer a distant sci-fi fantasy. They are soon to be hired, trained and deployed.
Multinational electronics producer Foxconn has announced it will introduce humanoid robots in its Houston AI plant within six months.
This smart AI factory will be the first of its kind deploying humanoids powered by Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T platform to help produce AI servers for Nvidia.
Research from Morgan Stanley suggests the humanoid market could become a US$5tn industry by 2050, with major tech companies including Tesla, Apple and Meta investing heavily in development.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk predicts humanoid robots will become “the biggest product of all time by far, bigger than cellphones, bigger than anything.”
Optimus: Inside Musk’s 'infinite money glitch'
From what looks like a scene out of a sci-fi movie, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk walked on stage at the 2025 Tesla Shareholder conference, with two dancing Optimus 2.5 humanoids.
What came next was a vision for the future, with Optimus at its centre of what he describes as an ‘infinite money glitch’ that could possibly eradicate poverty, provide incredible medicare and even stop crimes.
“What we are about to embark upon is not merely a new chapter of the future of Tesla, but a whole new book,” says Elon.
“With Optimus robots you can give everyone amazing medical care, Optimus will be better than the best human surgeon with a level of precision that is beyond human.”
Tesla Bot 3 is set to start production in 2026, with an annual release cycle with significant improvements made each year.
Musk said he will be setting up the fastest production ramp, a million unit production line in Fremont and 10 million unit production line in Texas.
He said that “Tesla is already the biggest robot manufacturer in the world, as every car we make is a robot.”
Elon Musk’s trillion dollar bet on humanoids
At the conference, 75% of Tesla shareholders approved Musk’s unprecedented US$1tn compensation package that could see him becoming the world’s first trillionaire.
This would require him to significantly raise Tesla’s market value from its current US$1.4tn to US$8tn within 10 years.
The new deal also relies on Musk delivering 20 million Tesla vehicles and a million robots, along with commitments on bringing a million robotaxis into operation.
With companies like Meta developing household-assistance humanoids and Foxconn now preparing to deploy robots on factory floors, a real shift is underway.
What once lived in science fiction is now being assembled, trained and scaled.
This brings thoughts back to a 2022 post by Musk on X that read: "Tesla AI might play a role in AGI, given that it trains against the outside world, especially with the advent of Optimus"
