An integrated AI infrastructure solution

Enterprises will be able to access a suite of transformation services through the deployment of the Dell AI Factory.

This includes Dell PowerEdge servers, the Dell AI Data Platform and Dell Networking.

These components are integrated with Digital Realty’s global data centre platform PlatformDIGITAL® and utilise DXC's implementation and operational management services.

This integrated approach is intended to provide several benefits for customers looking to deploy private AI.

The core elements include:

  • A secure and scalable environment for private AI infrastructure by combining the Dell AI Factory with DXC's operational expertise, all integrated within PlatformDIGITAL.
  • A library of validated AI case studies built for private delivery using the Dell AI Factory at PlatformDIGITAL and supported by scalable, high-density colocation refined for AI workloads.
  • An end-to-end solution that quickens the implementation of the Dell AI Factory, planned and operationalised by DXC, which includes a full deployment toolkit to help scale private AI initiatives.

Expert-led implementation and management

Beyond the physical infrastructure, the collaboration emphasises the need for skilled management and operational oversight to ensure AI projects deliver tangible business value.

The services delivered by DXC in collaboration with Digital Realty and Dell are designed to equip customers with the necessary architecture and skills to operationalise AI effectively.

Holland Barry, Global Field Chief Technology Officer at DXC Technology, says: "AI success requires more than infrastructure; it demands the right people, processes and technology." According to Holland, the partnership's strength lies in its comprehensive approach.

"Together with Dell's validated designs and Digital Realty's infrastructure, DXC brings implementation and secure end-to-end management services that help enterprises turn AI ambition into business outcomes, faster and with greater impact."

Simplifying the path from concept to production

This collaboration between Digital Realty, Dell and DXC could mean that enterprises can configure, deploy and scale repeatable frameworks more efficiently.

These frameworks will be hosted in Digital Realty’s high-density colocation data centres with PlatformDIGITAL powered by the Dell AI Factory and managed by DXC.

This integrated model supports a more direct path from an AI concept to full-scale production.

It also aims to reduce operational complexity and allow secure proximity to data-hybrid clouds and enterprise environments through ServiceFabric, Digital Realty's interconnection and orchestration solution.

The strategic nature of this alliance is noted by industry analysts.

"The collaboration between Digital Realty, Dell and DXC highlights how strategic ecosystem alliances can drive faster adoption of AI-enabled data-centric hybrid IT infrastructure,” says Courtney Munroe, Research Vice President, IDC.

Courtney adds that by combining global infrastructure with practical solutions and deep expertise, the partnership enables businesses to streamline their operations and unlock the strategic value of their data.

“By merging extensive global infrastructure with practical solutions, real-world use cases and deep technical expertise, this collaboration enables enterprises to simplify operations, speed up deployment and unlock the full potential of their data as a strategic asset," she says.
