Enterprise adoption of AI tools has accelerated since the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, yet many corporations struggle to integrate these systems into existing workflows. A recent survey from IBM found that 85% of firms are lagging behind in AI implementation: with data management and investment levels separating leaders from learners..

LTIMindtree, the Mumbai-based technology consulting firm, has announced a partnership with Microsoft to help large companies implement AI systems across their operations.

The partnership will focus on helping corporations move beyond experimental AI projects to deployment at scale. It comes as businesses seek ways to implement AI tools, including large language models and automation systems, across their existing technology infrastructure.

Partnership enables strategic expansion

The collaboration includes joint investment in AI solutions and a combined market strategy. LTIMindtree, which serves more than 700 corporate clients across 30 countries, will integrate Microsoft's AI technologies including Copilot – a suite of AI-powered features that augment Microsoft Office applications – and Azure OpenAI Service, which provides access to AI models through Microsoft's cloud platform.

Julie Sanford, Vice President of Business Management at Microsoft

Julie Sanford, Vice President of Business Management at Microsoft, says: “This partnership with LTIMindtree highlights our dedication to work with partners, to deliver secure AI solutions that empower organisations to transform and thrive.”

The firms will focus on three core technologies. The first is Copilot for Microsoft 365, which integrates AI capabilities into common workplace applications. The second is Microsoft Copilot for Security, a system that automates cyber threat detection and response. The third is Sunshine Migrate, a tool designed to help companies move their data storage systems to cloud platforms.

Technical implementation

LTIMindtree has obtained certifications across Microsoft's six solution areas, spanning infrastructure, business applications, data and AI, digital innovation, workplace systems and security. The company reports that 63 per cent of its workforce has completed AI capability training, with thousands of professionals certified in Microsoft's AI-enabled cloud platforms.

The partnership extends LTIMindtree's existing capabilities in cloud computing and data analytics. The company maintains a network of 12,000 Microsoft-certified professionals and supports more than 200 clients using Microsoft's Azure cloud platform.
