Atos and Doha-based telecommunications company, Ooredoo, have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate Qatar’s digital transformation.

As part of the partnership, Ooredoo’s customers will benefit from Atos’ experience and solutions in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Cloud Transformation, and also cybersecurity services.

“As Qatar’s organisations digitally transform, boardrooms need to modernise their technology infrastructure and information security,” said Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani, Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo.

“Mobile World Congress is an ideal event to announce Ooredoo’s partnership with Atos to provide our Qatar business customers with industry-leading solutions which can enhance businesses, and the daily lives of customers and citizens.”

Looking forward, the companies say they may potentially collaborate on solutions for cybersecurity, virtual desktop services, application management, operations, as well as Big Data and analytics.

Eric Grall, Senior Executive Vice-President and Head of Global Operations at Atos, said the company was "thrilled to become Ooredoo’s trusted digital partner".
