Provide us with an overview of what your keynote, ‘Implementing AI Governance for Responsible Innovation’, will focus on.

I’ll be speaking about an often overlooked aspect of AI - governance - and, more specifically, how companies can implement it to scale innovation responsibly.

From setting up policy guardrails to managing risks to ensuring safe experimentation, I’m looking forward to speaking about how companies can best position themselves to grow with AI tools while maintaining customer trust.

What do you hope to achieve through Tech & AI LIVE New York?

At the risk of sounding too on the nose, I’m looking forward to spreading the word about the importance of AI governance.

I’ve worked for decades in technical roles across data and analytics fields, so I’m a firm believer in the power of AI and its ability to transform our world.

But with that, I’m also passionate about its responsible adoption and ensuring it's used to drive us forward in a way that’s both productive and ethical.

I’m also thrilled to engage with many of my industry peers – there is so much exciting work happening in the tech & AI space and I’m looking forward to hearing some of the biggest triumphs and lessons learned.

I’m a firm believer that we all benefit when we work together and share best practices.

What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of the technology and AI industries over the next decade?

I believe we’re still in the early stages of seeing generative AI's full potential.

In the coming months, companies will transition from experimenting with large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI to utilising them significantly to implement changes.

Over the next decade, we can expect further advancements in AI that will transform every industry. AI-driven automation will continue to evolve, making processes more efficient and reducing the need for human intervention in repetitive tasks.

Another significant trend will be the integration of AI with the Internet of Things (IoT), leading to smarter and more connected environments.

The combination of AI and IoT will enhance data analytics, improve decision-making processes and enable predictive maintenance in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare and transportation.

Modernisation is also crucial. Businesses will focus on updating their systems and processes to stay competitive and keep up with technological advancements.

AI will play a significant role in this modernisation, from enhancing customer experiences through personalized interactions to optimising supply chains with predictive analytics.

Sustainability will continue to grow in importance as companies strive to adopt more responsible practices. AI will aid in achieving sustainability goals by optimising resource usage, reducing waste and supporting climate change mitigation efforts.

Lastly, cybersecurity will remain a top priority.

As cyber threats become more advanced, robust security measures will be essential to protect data and maintain trust in digital systems. AI will be leveraged to detect and counteract threats in real time, making cybersecurity more proactive and effective.
