“With the appointment of a Chief Digital Officer, Bosch is signaling its determination to continue driving forward the company’s digital transformation, while at the same time intertwining its technology, product, and IT strategies as closely as possible,” the company said.

The unveiling of the new CDO position comes alongside a number of executive changes at the company that has now appointed new Board members including Rolf Najork, Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth AG and Christian Fischer, Senior Partner at Roland Berger.

Bosch has said that the CDO role will also encompass the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) function.
